Sophia Kyraphia delivers steady, well thought out, experience-oriented coaching to individuals and teams. She works with executives, managers, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals in business and non-profit organizations. Her specialties include leadership, positive psychology, group dynamics, emotional and social intelligence, enneagram typology and practiced knowledge and fortified deep regard for several systems of spiritual development.
Sophia holds a Master’s of Arts degree in Applied Theology from Marylhurst University, one of the only two interfaith theology programs in the United States. She also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education from George Fox University. She trained with the Free Methodist Church in the Oregon Conference as an associate pastor, and worked on the conference level with the women’s spirituality and formation team. Over the last 20 years she has developed curriculum for youth and adults of all ages using advanced theological tools that involve the arts, theological studies, spiritual camping and community formation. These tools are developed not to teach dogma, but to help the individual and group enter into tried and true spiritual methodologies in order to form authentic beliefs about Deity based upon experience, discernment and community work. As a Certified Reiki Master, a formally trained astrologer, and a clinician Sophia uses these tools interchangeably in her work to produce results lead by the clients inner rhythm.
Sophia co-founded the House of Brigh Seership program with internationally renown Orion Foxwood as a response to a need to foster co-creative spiritual relationship between the earth the humanity, to aid humanity in resacredizing their own life, and reconnect to the holiness found in each other.
She believes strongly in life-long learning. To this end she actively seeks classes, studies and reads the most up-to-date thinking in the field.
She spent over 15 years within the Christian faith, including a Bachelors degree from a Quaker university and a Masters from a Catholic university where she became deeply involved with the social justice movement, including feeding shut ins with AIDS, food bank, clothing and furniture distribution, prison ministry and gender and sexual equality.
Sophia lives with her husband of 15 years, a partner of 6 years and their dogs at the foot of Mt. Tabor. She delights in striving to approach every moment of her life as a lover of life, whether negotiating professional situations, responding to a difficult conversation, or volunteering her time. She loves to dance, garden, prepare tasty foods for others, hike, and write devotional music.
